Metz S82 Series supports Variable Refresh Rate (using AMD FreeSync technology), real-time adaptation of different input frame rates, ensuring that video frames from different scenes in the game source are in an ideal state, effectively reducing input lag, image tearing and delay.
The frame rate of the game source varies, and the input frame rate to S82 Series through HDMI also varies. Now, if the TV screen’s refresh rate is fixed, the frame rate of the game source is inconsistent with the TV screen’s refresh rate.
Namely, when the screen displays the current frame, the graphics card has already started rendering the next frame, causing the current frame and the next frame to appear simultaneously on the TV screen for a period of time, giving the player a visual effect of tearing the screen. By contrast, VRR technology allows the screen’s refresh rate to adapt to the game source’s frame rate in real-time, thereby preventing the screen tearing.
Furthermore, a customized setting interface for game players can switch their mode optionally and quickly .Game Console has functions such as frame rate display, real-time switching of HDR, and switching of sound effects - it is specially designed for large-screen games, and can facilitate players to capture details through fast switching and fast response.
To activate this function press the ‘Source’ button on the remote control, access the interface of ‘Daily Shortcuts’ and choose the ‘Game Console’ tab.
